Job Duties• Energetically teach classes following all lesson plans.
• Lead groups of young children and their parents/caregivers through different activities.
• Ensure that children are in a comfortable, safe, fun environment.
• Build positive relationships with co-teachers, parents, and children.
• Must be able to communicate well with parents regarding early learning and the value of play.
• Must be aware of the generally held expectations for development for newborns-6 year olds.
• Must understand the benefits and philosophy behind reflective teaching practices.
• Read and follow all policies as outlined in the Kidville Teachers Manual.
• Have excellent product knowledge of all programs offered at Kidville.
• Arrive in time to be well-prepared to teach all programs.
• Dress appropriately for all programs.
• Keep scheduled and unscheduled absences to a minimum.
• Accurately complete all time-off request paperwork.
• Communicate to the manager any supplies that need to be replenished or replaced to ensure we always have attractive, presentable materials.
• Properly care for all toys, materials, books, CDs and equipment to conserve resources.
• Adhere to cleanliness practices including disinfecting toys after each class.
Professional Development:
• Attend all teacher meetings.
• Continually self-evaluate and communicate development needs to the Early Childhood Development Manager.
• Read articles, books and papers pertinent to the field of early childhood learning.

• Must have a genuine interest in working with young children and their parents/caregivers.• 4-6 Years Experience in teaching and/or working with young children required.
• Post Graduate Degree preferred. University or College Degree required.
• Must be a team player.
• Must have enthusiasm, dedication, and a good work ethic.
• Must have experience with the Internet.
• Must be able to manage many tasks quickly and efficiently and be able to work in a high-pressure environment.
• Must have outstanding written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must be fluent in English.
